Day 2 of training : Programming Techniques

Got confirmation that the entire training will be held in-house for my batch. Yay!
Today was an astoundingly boring day. We did NOTHING most of the day. Towards the end of the day we started watching some rather boring video on Programming Techniques which explained what an algorithm is, how to write it etc. Most people were fighting to stay awake. The video was suitable for someone who hadn’t ever written a program before. CS (Computer Science) junta seemed to find it to be useless. All CS junta will be together from now on.
We should be able to get through the rest of the videos on PT tomorrow. Good that PT doesn’t last more than 2 days.
The instructor mentioned in the passing that training will be of about 40 days.
The good part of the day was getting to know each other.
Observed a group indulging in “Name, Place, Animal, Thing”!
Sitting around doing nothing for 6 hours is frustrating. I also managed a 15 minute nap in class only to be awakened by someone poking a pen in my ear.
‘Discovered’ a coffee machine close to the training rooms. Remember to get a coffee mug!
We got our Employee ID No. too.
Will write more soon. Gotta grab some sleep!
